About Insulor
The name
In ancient Rome an insula was a block of flats: several storeys of homes, often with shops at street level, shared by many households. The word also means island.
Our mark is an insula in plan: rooms around a courtyard, with the entrance on one side. Many households, one building, one set of records.
Why we built it
England had 4.90 million leasehold homes in 2024-25 (English Housing Survey). The 2027 reforms ask whoever manages them for new documents, in new formats, with new rights for leaseholders to ask for information.
Most already have an accounting system they trust. Insulor is built to work alongside it rather than replace it.
How we work
- You approve every document before it goes to a leaseholder.
- Every figure can be traced to the line or invoice it came from.
- Each firm's data is kept separate, and personal data can be deleted on request.
- We say plainly what the product does and what it does not do yet.
